From October 9–12, 2025, the tour returns for the APPT Emirates NBD Masters – Dubai at Padel Art. Days after Jakarta crowned Carlos Martí Vaño (ESP) & Martín Ariel Andornino (ITA) in Pro Male and Kotomi Ozawa & Kae Tokumoto (JPN) added another title, the tour shifts to an international-level stage with a $20,000 purse.
The rankings now frame the narrative: Sergi Nogueras Lorenz arrives as the new Pro Male No.1, followed closely by Marc Bernils, Pol Alsina, and Eduard Altimires, all separated by just a few hundred points. On the women’s side, Kotomi Ozawa remains a solid No.1 ahead of Elisabeth Nogueras, Joanna Tao Yee Tan, and Kae Tokumoto. Dubai marks the true beginning of the season’s decisive run-in across Asia Pacific.
Here’s what you need to know about this historic debut:
1. The Venue – Dubai
Hosted at Padel Art Club, a state-of-the-art indoor club featuring nine climate-controlled courts and great facilities, the event offers excellent viewing for fans, providing a perfect scenario for the APPT Masters.
Dubai has quickly become a regional padel hub, blending a passionate local community with a large international expat base, thriving academies, and corporate leagues. As a global crossroads between Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe, the city naturally attracts diverse talent and fans from around the world.

2. About the Masters
APPT Masters is the tour’s premium professional tier, created to elevate padel in Asia Pacific with higher prize money, international-level venues, and wider media exposure. The 2025 pathway features two Masters stops, Singapore and Dubai (Oct 9–12, $20,000), and culminates at the Jakarta Master Final (Dec 18–21, $40,000), the largest prize purse in Asia Pacific padel. Masters are open to teams from any tour and nationality, except for the Master Final, where at least one player in each pair must have competed in an APPT event earlier in the season.
3. The Prize Money
Dubai offers $20,000, only the second $20K purse in APPT history, following the Singapore Masters in September. The season’s biggest prize remains the Jakarta Master Final ($40,000) in December.
4. Stars to Watch
The Emirates NBD Masters Dubai brings together most of the highest-ranked players on the APPT circuit. Pol Alsina & Jan Masferrer, Sergi Nogueras & Marc Bernils, and Eduard Altimires & Adrià Mercadal all arrive within the Top 5, continuing their battle for the No.1 spot. They’ll be joined by Shungo Kusakabe (JPN) and Tim Brown (AUS), Asia-Pacific’s leading contenders, and Tito Alemandi, two-time World Champion returning to the tour after his Kuala Lumpur debut.
In the women’s field, Patricia Araus & María Cristina López, winners of the Singapore Masters, headline the draw alongside Joanna Tao Yee Tan, Mariam Yasmin Garsin, Larissa Lim, and Melanie Lau. While current No.1 Kotomi Ozawa and No.2 Elisabeth Nogueras will not compete in Dubai, their absence opens the door for new contenders to gain crucial ranking points. Among them, Angela Caro & Sol Pérez and Angelina Neizvestnaya & Alena Vasileva stand out as top threats in a Masters where there’s a lot on the line for both rankings and momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.

5. Padel’s growth in Asia Pacific
Known as the fastest growing sport in the world, Asia Pacific has roughly 1200 facilities and over 3000 courts. Padel is easy to pick up and highly social, making it a game for all ages and backgrounds. Its smaller court and doubles format naturally encourage teamwork, laughter, and connection, whether you’re playing competitively or just for fun. The APPT embraces this spirit by keeping amateur categories at every tournament, ensuring newcomers and enthusiasts can share the stage with professionals and experience the excitement of international competition firsthand. Over the past year, the APPT has seen its community across Asia Pacific grow rapidly, with more players, more clubs, and more fans discovering the sport, turning each event into both a competition and a gathering point for the region’s expanding padel family.
