10 Things You Need to Know About the Appt Jakarta Grand Slam 2025

From October 2 to 5, 2025, the Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT) lands in Indonesia for the APPT Jakarta Grand Slam, hosted at Clubhouse Gandaria Padel Club. Just days after the historic debut of the Singapore Masters, where Pol Alsina & Eduard Altimires claimed back-to-back titles and Patricia Araus & Maria Cristina López stunned in their first-ever APPT appearance, the tour now heads to Jakarta, one of the fastest-growing padel markets in the world.

Here’s what you need to know about this historic debut:

1.  The Venue – Jakarta, Asia’s Padel Powerhouse

Jakarta is more than just the host city, it’s one of the fastest-growing padel hubs in the world. With nearly 100 clubs and 350 courts opened in just two years, Indonesia has embraced the sport like few others. At the heart of this boom stands Clubhouse Padel Club, a great facility with 4 courts that will stage the Jakarta Grand Slam.

• Dubai Masters | Oct 9–12 | $20,000

• Karachi Grandslam | Oct 30–Nov 2 | $13,000

• Mumbai Grandslam | Nov 6–9 | $13,000

Together, these events form the backbone of the APPT’s autumn season, bringing padel action to Asia Pacific.

5. Padel’s growth in Asia Pacific

Known as the fastest growing sport in the world, Asia Pacific has roughly 1200 facilities and over 3000 courts. Padel is easy to pick up and highly social, making it a game for all ages and backgrounds. Its smaller court and doubles format naturally encourage teamwork, laughter, and connection, whether you’re playing competitively or just for fun. The APPT embraces this spirit by keeping amateur categories at every tournament, ensuring newcomers and enthusiasts can share the stage with professionals and experience the excitement of international competition firsthand. Over the past year, the APPT has seen its community across Asia Pacific grow rapidly, with more players, more clubs, and more fans discovering the sport, turning each event into both a competition and a gathering point for the region’s expanding padel family.
