Manila, Philippines – June 27, 2026 – The APPC Manila group stage has set Play Padel McKinley alight. The third edition of the Asia Pacific Padel Cup (APPC) brought 10 teams from 7 nations to compete in the Professional and Amateur draws this week. Now the round-robin is complete, and the brackets are set for a blockbuster Position Stage. Here, padel is built differently. Individual rankings are left at the door, and every game in every category feeds one team’s result. As a result, the pressure never lets up, and no one plays just for themselves.
“The APPC is one of the top team competitions in Asia, and a moment to unite the region,” said Alex Domenech, the co-founder of the Asia Pacific Padel Tour. “It connects countries, cities, and players in one place.”
The Group Stage: Hosts on Top, Taiwan Stun on Debut
In the Professional draw, the hosts made home advantage count. Padel Pilipinas, the Philippine team and defending champions from 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, topped the group with a commanding run built on depth across all three categories. Behind them, the race for second went to the wire. The Prescott Development Team from Pakistan and the Ace Padel India Team finished level, and Pakistan edged second on the head-to-head. India, here for a third consecutive APPC, took third. The Amateur draw, meanwhile, belonged to the newcomers. GöPadel from Taiwan led from start to finish on their first-ever APPC appearance. Hosts Padel Pilipinas claimed second, while debutants The Racquet Garden Brunei Padel Team gained valuable experience in their first regional outing.

A Home Stage in Manila
Beyond the scoreboard, APPC 2026 has become a celebration of Filipino padel. Play Padel McKinley, the biggest padel club in Metro Manila, has hosted the action across five covered open-air courts, with an air-conditioned café and VIP area for fans and families. The event is co-organized with Padel Pilipinas, the Philippine padel federation, whose support helped bring the region to Manila.
“Hosting seven nations here is proof of how fast padel is growing,” said Atty. Jacqueline Gan of Padel Pilipinas, the federation co-organizing the event. “In the Philippines alone, courts are going up nationwide almost overnight, and this year the sport earned its place at the Asian Games. We want every guest to leave with a taste of Filipino hospitality and a tournament run to the highest standard.”
Partners Powering the Cup
A strong line-up of partners has powered the week. Enervon set up an on-site booth where players and fans can try its products between ties, fueling the energy around the courts. Head also brought a booth to the ground, letting the padel community get hands-on with its latest gear. Joma, PAGSS, Playform Movement Studio, Padel PRO Shop, Olympia Courts, Dafanews, and Alaxan Xtra round out the partners behind the third edition.
What Comes Next
Tomorrow (June 28th) comes the Finals Day with the Position Stage, where teams pair off by group ranking to play for their final placings. In each draw, the top four sides have one more tie to come — first plays second for the title, while third meets fourth for the bronze. The fifth-placed team has wrapped up its tournament, and we hope they will stay to enjoy the finals with us.
