APPT LANDS IN SINGAPORE. SMALL COUNTRY BUT GREAT COMMUNITY AND PASSION FOR PADEL.

Pol Alsina (ES) and Marc Monne (ES), in Pro Male, Joanna Tao Yee Tan (PH) and Marian Capadocia (PH) in Pro Female, and Gabriel Loredo (MX) and Riikka Laine (FI) in Pro Mix were the APPT GRAND SLAM – SINGAPORE (THE CAGE) 2024 Champions

From October 03 to 06 Singapore and The Cage Padel Tribe hosted the 9th APPT tournament of the season. More than 100 pairs and 165 players from 32 different nationalities enjoyed and delighted us with padel but much more.

Pol Alsina and Marc Monne won in the Pro Male category

In the Pro Male category, it was a 2 sets battle among the 4 players. The men’s final, which closed the sporting part of the event, was decided in an exciting two set final and allowed players and spectators to enjoy a very high level of padel. At the end, 6/3, 7/6 for Pol and Marc, but we’re sure there will be more battles between those two teams soon!

oanna Tao Yee Tan (PH) and Marian Capadocia won in the Pro Female category

Meanwhile, in the Pro Female category, the action was even more fierce as dynamic. Joanna and Marian won in 3 sets, 6/3,0/6,7/5 Bea Gumulya (ID) and Kotomi Ozawa (JP). The final was a constant exchange of blows between the 4 Asian players. With this victory, a team made up entirely of Filipino players wins an APPT for the first time and does it, no less, than in a Grand Slam in Singapore.

Gabriel Loredo (MX) and Riikka Laine (FI) won in the Pro Mix category

Finally, the Pro Mix category was also for the Tasty Padel team, “Gabo” and Riikka beat Ben and Anastasiia a 2 sets match 6/0, 6/1. The team that is also playing Pro in Male and Female category in Singapore Ricochet, has arrived at APPT kicking hard and eager to get noticed. We’ll se how they perform in the ipcoming tournaments.

You can rewatch all the central court matches in our YouTube Channel whit the collaboration of Gabriel Dangelo and David Maxwel in the production, as commentator, after game interviews … all-terrain team to give streaming a significant jump in quality.

The second Grand Slam of this 2 tournaments “mini stage” is over, but the show continues in Ricochet this week!

Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT) played its first tournament in November 2024 in Bali, Indonesia. The Tour aims to promote padel in Asia and provide opportunities for local professional players to grow in Asia Pacific.

With this mission, APPT has played seven tournaments in Bali (Indonesia), Manila (Philippines), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Hong Kong (China), Shenzhen (China), Phuket (Thailand), Bali (Indonesia), Jakarta and now, Singapore. In addition, before the end of the year, it will pass through at least Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and the UAE. So, the season will close with more than 10 tournaments in different countries in Asia Pacific.

In terms of participants, the Tour already has more than 1200 registered participants from 76 different countries. Among these, players from local countries stand out, but there is also a significant community of European players (especially Spanish) who live in Asia or travel to play in the various tournaments. It should be noted that the circuit draws players to each city where a tournament is held, and this factor is key to the growth of APPT. In addition, the tournament is creating a loyal community, and good proof of this is that 45% of the participants are in the amateur category and come from different Eastern countries.

A special mention to HEADWILSONROYAL PADELZAS, Supernatural+, CUPRA , Global Mortage and Novotel , CÉ LA VI . Your dedication and commitment to the sport of padel is making this tour possible, and we are truly grateful for your invaluable contributions.
