New ranking turns Club Team results into a shared score, with the top Club Teams advancing to the Asia Pacific Padel Cup (APPC)
Aug 3rd, 2026 — The Asia Pacific Padel Tour has launched the APPT Club Team Ranking. Notably, this new season-long competition lets Club Teams across the region compete for the first time. A Club Team can be a padel club or an informal community group. Any Club Team can register through the APPT website. From there, the players who represent it carry their results into a shared team score.
Each season, the top-ranked Club Teams in every category qualify directly for the Asia Pacific Padel Cup (APPC). Indeed, that is where the tour crowns the Best Club Team in Asia Pacific.
The Club Team Ranking gives every Club Team a competitive identity of its own within APPT. Moreover, that identity now stretches across a full season instead of a single weekend. As a result, Club Team rivalries build over the course of the year. That gives fans, media and sponsors a storyline to follow, and it gives Club Teams a stage built specifically for them.

How the APPT Club Team Ranking Works
- Players choose a Club Team to represent. In turn, the Club Team confirms them before the affiliation counts. The same applies when a Club Team approaches a player first.
- APPT ranks each Club Team in two categories: Pro and Amateur. In fact, each category combines male and female players rather than splitting them. In each one, the Club Team’s top six affiliated players contribute their points from every APPT event.
- A Club Team needs at least two players in a category to appear in that ranking. Also, there are no mid-season transfer windows: affiliation locks in event by event.
- The top four Club Teams in each category qualify directly for APPC’s main draw. Meanwhile, every other registered Club Team can chase the remaining spots through qualification.
- Prize money awaits the APPC winner and runner-up. In addition, each Club Team must field a minimum of two local-passport players at the Finals.
- New Club Team profile pages on the APPT website show each roster in full. Furthermore, each page carries the Club Team’s category rankings, points tally, and APPC qualification history.
