APPT Aims Padel Revolution Open KL Reaches Record 340 Registrations, Closing in on the Highest-Ever Field in APPT Open History

KUALA LUMPUR, June 15, 2026 — The APPT Aims Padel Revolution Open Kuala Lumpur has reached a record-breaking 340 player registrations. This makes it the biggest APPT tournament Malaysia has ever hosted — and one of the largest in APPT Open history. Registration is now closed. The field includes 28 Pro Teams, 55 Amateur Teams, and 87 Amateur B Teams, all set to compete at Padel Revolution, Kuala Lumpur, from June 19–21, 2026.

This is more than a headcount. The figure marks a turning point for padel in Malaysia and across Asia Pacific. Indeed, APPT participation has climbed year on year.

A Field That Reflects the Region’s Growth

The KL Open draws players from 42 nationalities, underlining the tournament’s regional and international pull. In total, Malaysia leads as the largest contingent, making up roughly 40% of the field. The remainder spans Asia Pacific and beyond, with strong international representation at the top of the professional draws. Tellingly, more than 40 Malaysian entrants are making their APPT debut here. That is a clear sign of how fast the sport’s grassroots base is growing.

He anchors a deep Spanish contingent that also includes Pol Alsina and Sergi Nogueras. Furthermore, Adria Mercadal is the form man of 2026. He has claimed titles across this year’s Asia Pacific swing, including Penang and the Masters Finals. In the women’s draw, Carla Serrano headlines as the reigning Grand Slam Platinum Hong Kong champion.
