Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Can I play two categories in same gender?
  • No. This causes scheduling problems which can not always be accommodated. You can play amateur male or pro male, but not both. (Same for female and mixed).
  • Yes, you can. You can play pro male and pro mix, or based on you and your partners level pro male & amateur mix, or amateur male & pro mix etc.
  • Before a tournament, you can see when your first match will be on the tournament information page. Any specific requests can be sent to competition@asiapacificpadeltour.com and we will try our best to accommodate.
  • During a tournament, our website will show your updated schedule, whether you continue in the main draw, or go to the consolation bracket.
  • The schedule will be released following the Live Drawing, so either on the Tuesday or Wednesday before the tournament begins.

All APPT Tournaments will be knockout matches. We will never follow a group-stage or round-robin format.

  • Main draw matches will be best of 3 full sets. Tie break to 7 points at 6-6
  • Golden Point played on the 3rd deuce. (40:40. Adv:40, 40:40, Adv:40, GP)
  • Yes, there is a consolation draw for all main draws and all qualification brackets
  • Teams losing in their first match of the tournament, will enter a consolation bracket
  • If you lose in your 2nd match of the tournament, you are out of the competition.
  • Consolation matches will follow the same format as main draw matches, except that 3rd sets will be a super tie-break to 10 points.
  • For every main draw match, new Head balls will be provided.
  • For consolation matches, you will use balls previously used in the tournament.

Welcome Pack & material

Can I reserve my shoe size for the welcome pack?
  • No, not for the 2025 season. We’re working to improve this next year.
  • No, size requests aren’t possible. We’ll try to make this available next season.

Categories & eligibility

Can I play two categories in the same gender?

Scheduling

When am I playing?
  • Before the event, first-match time is on the tournament info page. During the event, your live schedule updates on the APPT website. For special requests email competition@asiapacificpadeltour.com.
  • After the Live Draw—usually Tuesday or Wednesday before the event.
  • You can submit the Schedule Request Form (https://forms.gle/1jdjVxajL1jobTrb8). We’ll consider it, but it’s not guaranteed. If you can’t play, withdraw before registration closes to get a refund.

Tournament & match format

  • Main draw: best of 3 full sets; tie-break to 7 at 6-6; Golden Point on the 3rd deuce.
  • Yes—for all main draws and qualifiers. Lose your first match → consolation. Lose your second match → out. Consolation 3rd set is a super tie-break to 10. Formats may adjust if schedules are delayed.
  • Main draw: new Head balls. Consolation: balls previously used in the tournament.

Media & partners

Where can I see the tournament photos?
  • Register on the media page; the team will review and grant permission. You can also apply to work with us officially through that page.

Account actions

How do I change my tournament partner?
  • Acceptance is first-registered, first-in. You’ll get an email invite; join using the link in that email (not the normal registration). We can’t share your exact position. We keep the waitlist open until the draw is made, and we try to fit as many players as possible.
