KARACHI, PAKISTAN — In a landmark moment for the growth of junior padel in South Asia, 13-year-old Azhar Allawala and 12-year-old Ahmad have made Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT) history by winning the inaugural Under-14 global championship at APPT Karachi.

The triumph marks a major milestone for both players, showcasing the rapid development of Pakistan’s junior padel pipeline on the international circuit.

Pioneering a New Generation,
Azhar Allawala, a Grade 8 student at Karachi Grammar School, has steadily built his reputation through relentless training and elite international competition. Having already represented Pakistan at the Junior World Championships in Reus, Spain, Azhar’s game has matured rapidly under the guidance of his Spanish coach, Jesus Ruiz. His strategic court coverage and composure under pressure proved instrumental throughout the tournament.

Alongside him, 12-year-old partner Ahmad, a Grade 7 student at Learning tree school demonstrated the raw instinct and determination that has defined his rapid rise over the last 18 months. Since picking up a racket for the first time, Ahmad has established a dominant streak across both U-12 and U-14 categories, bringing fearlessness and grit to the tandem’s championship run.

A Milestone for Pakistan Padel
The victory represents the first-ever U-14 global crown awarded in APPT history, setting a high standard for future junior categories across the tour.

“This is not the end of the journey, but another beautiful milestone along the way,” stated Azhar following the victory.

Both players have set their sights on continued player development and representing Pakistan in upcoming international APPT legs and global junior fixtures.
