Pakistan and the APPT Confirm Five Challenger Events and Open Talks for a 2026 Grand Slam
Padel’s growth in Pakistan has been nothing short of extraordinary. The country now boasts over 240 active courts, with plans to build 40 more within the next three months, making it one of Asia’s fastest-growing padel destinations.
This momentum has encouraged the APPT to officially confirm five Challenger events for 2026 and to begin formal discussions for a new Grand Slam event in Pakistan next year.
“Karachi has made history. Hosting Pakistan’s first-ever international padel event was not only a huge success — it was truly spectacular,” said Carlos Carrillo, CEO of the Asia Pacific Padel Tour. “The level of organization, the enthusiasm of the fans, and the quality of the matches showed what makes Pakistan special.
With more than 240 courts already open and dozens more on the way, the country is proving to be one of the most exciting frontiers for padel in Asia Pacific. That’s why we’ve already confirmed multiple Challenger events for 2026 and are in talks to bring back another Grand Slam. This is just the beginning of a long journey for padel in Pakistan.”
