Malaysian Local Players Competing in AMATEUR FEMALE FINAL in Last Year’s KL Open

Malaysian Players and Local Community at the Centre

Kuala Lumpur is one of the most active padel markets in the Asia Pacific. The KL Open allows Malaysian players to compete against regional and international players on a familiar court. The defending title holder will return to defend the crown, with challengers looking to claim top spot in the standings. Beyond the draw, this edition marks a significant step in APPT’s commitment to growing padel at the local level. AIMS Club joins as the title sponsor, and the Tour is actively engaging local clubs and communities to make padel more accessible and visible across Malaysia. This reflects APPT’s broader approach of partnering with local stakeholders to develop the sport from the ground up. The event is further supported by leading padel brands Joma and Head, with PadelPro Shop serving as the official retail partner.

Amateur B Category Debuts in Kuala Lumpur

For the first time in KL, the Amateur B category opens the draw to a wider range of competitive players across all experience levels. The expanded format adds more entry points to the APPT stage and increases participation across all competitive levels. Amateur competitors play for a share of over USD 8,500 in merchandise prizes, with all results published on the APPT Amateur Leaderboard.
