200 PLAYERS & 130 TEAMS FROM 30 DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES IN HONG KONG & SHENZHEN

Amazing level in the first Grand Slam in APPT history and first padel professional padel tournament in China

From April 11th to 14th, Hong Kong and PADEL+ hosted the 4th APPT tournament of the season. 165 couples and 103 players enjoyed four fantastic days of padel in male, female, and mixed categories in Pro and Amateur modes.

The week after, from April 19th to 21st, was time for the APPT Shenzhen Open, where 24 teams in Pro Male and Amateur Male had the chance to participate. This is the first time in China where the local welcome and feedback have been especially warm.

New countries, new cities, new clubs, and new players

New countries, new cities, new clubs, and new players in each APPT tournament. APPT grows tournament after tournament, and the 200 players from more than 30 nationalities that have played in Hong Kong and Shenzhen prove it. The numbers speak for themselves, but the intangible part, which is the community/family feeling lived in the tournament, makes the achievement even bigger.

A great example of that was the official party hosted in Soho House in Hong Kong, where many players from different countries and organizers enjoyed the night of networking, dancing, singing, and much more.

Pol Alsina (ES) and David Català (ES); Pro Male Champions in Hong Kong

In the Pro Male category, it was a battle of nerves and skill as top-seeded players faced off against determined challengers. In a thrilling finale, Pol Alsina (ES) and David Català (ES) emerged victorious, displaying their trademark finesse and power to clinch the title. The top-seeded players in the APPT Ranking, Dani Bressel (ES) and Miguel Briega (ES), stood up in a final that was decided by the Asian couple in two sets.

Patricia García (ES) and María Mayoral (ES); Pro Female Champions in Hong Kong

Meanwhile, in the Pro Female category, the action was equally fierce as dynamic partnerships showcased their teamwork and strategic prowess on the court. The duo of Patricia García (ES) and María Mayoral (ES) beat Chifumi Sato (JP) and Yoshino Kushima (JP) in a two-set final.

Dani Bressel (ES) and Miguel Briega; Pro Male Champions in Shenzhen

In Shenzhen, the rain wanted to be part of the show. Just before the first game started, he appeared, and in what a way! This meant that all the players and logistics of the bullfight had to move to the SOPA Padel indoor court, where the rest of the tournament was already played.

In the Pro Male category, victory went to Dani Bressel (ES) and Miguel Briega, who beat Tim Brown (AUS) and Andrea Melisi (IT) in the final.

In Pro Amateur, Vincent Chau and Chun Ho took the title in a final that pitted four PADEL+ players against each other.
