Get ready Hong Kong, get ready China. We are coming!
The excitement is palpable as we approach the highly anticipated APPT Hong Kong Grand Slam 2024. With just one week left until the tournament kicks off, players and fans alike are gearing up for an unforgettable week of thrilling matches and intense competition. The tournament will take place from April 11th to 14th in PADEL+ HK club.
103 teams and 165 players are participating
We’re delighted to the APPT Hong Kong Grand Slam in which 103 teams and 165 players will participate in the Professional and Amateur categories in Male, Female and Mix modes.
The Pro Male category will have 32 participating couples. So, the couple that leads the ranking are formed by Miguel Briega and Dani Bressel who are the TOP 1 APPT ranking couple. Following Miguel and Dani, the TOP 7 players, Shungo Kusakabe (3), Tim Brown (4), Martín Noschese (5), Eduardo Ladeveze (6) and Joseph Serra are also in the draw. Maximum level and excitement in the first Grand Slam in the history of APPT.
Female catagory
The Female category will have 13 participating couples. The TOP seeded teams are, Kim Ben Attar (FR) and Sandy Gumulya (ID) as the first pair, followed by Jessica Agra (PH) and Jessica Lucas (PH) as the second pair. The Spanish team formed by Patricia Garcia Calderaro and Maria Mayoral Estrada (ES) will be the 3rd seeded pair.
Pro but Amateur amazing response
In the Amateur Male category, participation will also be massive with 31 teams registered. So, and in the same way as it will happen in the Pro, the format will be in a single draw of 32.
The Mix category also includes up to 28 participating teams in the Pro and Amateur modes. These numbers place the APPT Hong Kong Grand Slam in the participation record as far as the circuit goes and reaffirms that padel in Asia is stepping hard.
