Asia Pacific Padel Cup Returns: Nations Set to Battle for Continental Glory in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, May 30, 2025 – The stage is set for one of the most electrifying events in the region’s padel calendar: the second edition of the Asia Pacific Padel Cup (APPC). This dynamic, nation-versus-nation team event returns with even greater intensity, national pride, and continental stakes as the top padel nations of Asia prepare to clash in Kuala Lumpur this August.

Following last year’s thrilling inaugural edition—won by Indonesia in a gripping finale at the Amare Club—the 2025 APPC promises to be bigger, louder, and more competitive with more nations in Asia improving all the time. Hosted in the heart of Malaysia’s capital at the wonderful Joy Division club, this year’s tournament will see elite squads from across the region battle not just for the trophy, but for the prestige of being crowned kings and queens of Asia-Pacific padel.

“This event is about more than just points or rankings,” said APPT Director David Maxwell. “It’s about identity, unity, and the fierce pride that comes from wearing your nation’s colors on court. The APPC brings emotion and drama completely unique from a normal APPT event.”

With regional rivalries heating up and new nations entering the fray, the APPC can quickly become a proving ground for both established and emerging padel powers. Teams will compete in a high-energy,group stage format consisting of male, female and mixed matches, before progressing to the knockout-stage format designed to deliver maximum excitement and highlight the continent’s most promising talents.

In a sport known for its fast pace and explosive rallies, the APPC elevates the spectacle with national flags flying and fans rallying behind their teams. For players, it’s potentially a first chance to represent their country on a continental stage; for fans, it’s a celebration of sport, culture, and unity.

Joy Division in Kuala Lumpur, with its world-class facilities and passionate sporting culture, is the perfect host for this year’s showdown. From fiery clashes to emotional championship moments, this August promises four days of adrenaline-fueled action, pride, and continental ambition.

As the countdown begins, one question remains: who will rise to the top of the continent? Will Indonesia defend their crown, or will a new champion emerge to take their place at the top of Asia-Pacific padel?

Stay tuned. The battle for the continent is about to begin.
